Why your bill keeps climbing

Heating oil runs $3.40-$4.20 per gallon in winter. Natural gas rates climbed again in 2025-2026. Electric resistance heat is the worst of all, at around $0.28/kWh delivered, a single-room electric heater can cost $3-5 per day.
